NOTE TO COMPANIES
This
student is about to join a summer program on European business
coordinated every year by the Normandy Business School, France, in
collaboration with HUB Vlekho Business School in Brussels , Belgium,
InHolland Haarlem Business School, The Netherlands and FIB UPC,
Barcelona, Spain..
To
complement the theoretical input, while in Europe between 6 June and 7
July, students are asked to run a team project for a company in the
wine, beer, or spirits industry OR the tourism industry, with a view to
producing a complete business plan to be submitted to a panel of
experts and academics for final evaluation.
The
focus is on all the strategic marketing aspects involved in making the
right decisions when embarking on a business venture with or within EU
countries. This may involve either penetration from outside the EU, the
extension of already existing bridgeheads to other parts of the Union.
Although
this consultancy work is, of course, totally free, the basic tenet of
this program is that the project should be meaningful for the company
concerned and consequently, that this company should be prepared to
supply the team with a detailed brief ,outlining what the outcome of
their work is expected to be.
In
the past, when the firm has supplied the students with the right kind
of information, the project was able to answer such questions as
which segment to target, and where, when or how.
The
Normandy Business School looks forward to this opportunity offered to
its students to work on a real-life situation and would like to express
its gratitude to those companies willing to collaborate in this global
educational program.
